28. Repatriation assistance ( Contents ) Special conditions
Previous provisions
- Period of cover: the period of cover of this insurance is linked to the accident policy issued by Liberty Seguros.
- Validity: To receive the covered benefits the insured must not be a Spanish national, but have primary residence in Spain and his or her time out of said primary residence must not exceed 60 days per trip.
- Territorial scope: This insurance cover is valid throughout the world and in Spain, outside of the insured's province of primary residence, with the exception of those covers which expressly have exclusive validity in Spain or abroad.
Additional provisions
The general conditions of the accident policy are to be applied, as long as they do not contradict that established by these present conditions.
When requesting assistance for the indicated covers by telephone you must indicate: the name of the insured, accident insurance policy number, your present location, telephone number and the kind of assistance you require.
The insurer is not responsible for delays or failure to deliver due to force majeure or the unique administrative or political characteristics of a specific country. Under any circumstances, if direct intervention is possible, the insured shall be reimbursed for covered expenses upon his or her return to Spain, or if necessary, when he or she enters a country not affected by the previous circumstances, with the presentation of the appropriate receipts.
Benefits of a medical nature and health related transportation must be made based on previous agreement between the physician at the hospital centre attending to the insured and the insurer's medical team.
If the insured is entitled to reimbursement for the unused portion of the ticket after using the transportation or repatriation cover, said reimbursement will be turned over to the insurer.
Under any circumstances the indemnities established for the covers will complement any contracts which may cover the same risks, for social security benefits of any other collective pension plans.
The insurer is subrogated to the rights and actions which may correspond to the insured for events that have motivated the intervention and up to the total amount of the services provided or paid for.
