28. Repatriation assistance ( Contents ) Special conditions
Previous provisions
- Period of cover: the period of cover of this insurance is linked to the accident policy issued by Liberty Seguros.
- Validity: To receive the covered benefits the insured must not be a Spanish national, but have primary residence in Spain and his or her time out of said primary residence must not exceed 60 days per trip.
- Territorial scope: This insurance cover is valid throughout the world and in Spain, outside of the insured's province of primary residence, with the exception of those covers which expressly have exclusive validity in Spain or abroad.
Reporting claims
When reporting assistance for the individual covers by telephone you must indicate: the name of the insured, accident insurance policy number, your present location, telephone number and the kind of assistance you require.
The insurer is not responsible for delays or failure to deliver due to force majeure or the unique administrative or political characteristics of a specific country.
The insurer is subrogated in the rights and actions which may correspond to the insured for events that have motivated the intervention and up to the total amount of the services carried out or paid for.
In the event of a claim, in which the insured individual receives a reimbursement for the expenses due to force majeure, this must be indicated within a maximum term of seven days. In case of breach of this obligation, the insurer may file a claim for damages due to the failure to make this report, as established by Act 50/80 on Insurance Contracts.
